The Rogner Bad Blumau

This hotel named Rogner Bad Blumau situated in Austria, houses spa wellness and hot springs and is designed by this amazing architect who designed a few other buildings around the world that are just as interesting. What fascinates me most is the cute colour-block architecture that makes the hotel and its surroundings look like that drawn out of imagination, or by a child during an art lesson perhaps? Thumbs up for the architecture! (:

.woodwould at mandarin gallery

Have you been to the store at Mandarin Gallery? I must say the interior of the shop is bigger and definitely better-looking than the store at The Cathay, with its old-school entrance. Think along the lines of Peranakan homes-inspired doors. But then again, both stores probably carry the same (or similar) selection of products. You can find out more about .woodwould from its blog and be a fan of it on Facebook.

a picnic menu - what to pack

It's been some time since I last had a picnic at a park or by the sea. Here is a fanciful menu in deciding what to pack for it!

La Papillon

Pretty butterflies. Flutter.
Wear them on your neck, write love notes on cut-outs, decorate the walls and around the house with them or place them on cups.
Butterfly chic.

Mothers' Day gift ideas

Shopping for a Mothers' Day gift is not easy, especially if Mummy is highly selective. I have a few options on my list though.

illustrations that inspire

Pretty illustrations by Kris from 'Krisatomic'. I'm inspired by her sketches and photographs of not only fashion, but also the things that she sees around her (:

like i give a frock - pun intended. no bad language here.

I simply cannot get enough of Kat Macleod's illustrations. Once in a while, I'll use them to accompany random entries here. There are hints of 3D effects using real cloth in the second design from the top. The second picture from the bottom 'Like I give a frock' is one of my favourites, for certain reasons :P And the last picture at the bottom has been on my old laptop since '08 because it captures the epitome of chicness. D should be able to remember it 'cause she worked on the laptop and complained that the letter D couldn't be typed! Ha. Those were the days before the functional macbook came along. Anyway, the picture's actually the cover of a French CD album. So Frenchy, So Chic.

Got a birthday party to attend at the Mint Museum of Toys later. Time to get my studying-engine going first!

Make a dash for this bus-stop.

Designed by Mark Reigelman. I can imagine the bus stops in Singapore carrying such themes, where the women and children flock to them and the men keeping their distance ;P
