Pretty in Pink
Quoting from Word-Origins.com, the word 'pink' (as a colour) appeared in the 18th century whereas in Wikipedia, it states that 'pink' was first recorded in the 17th century. As for me, whenever I see pink, I recall the movie Funny Face (1957) starring Audrey Hepburn, Kay Thompson and Fred Astaire. The movie is just like a musical with singing and dancing. But of course, what would you expect when you have a combination of the late Fred Astaire and the late Audrey Hepburn? Enjoy viewing the clip at the end of this entry... "Think Pink!"

Ima, Ai ni yukimasu いま、会いにゆきます (2004)
One of my favourite Japanese movies starring Yuko Takeuchi, Shido Nakamura and Akashi Takei (who is probably a grown boy by now). It is a heartwarming story and there is also a serial on it, but I still prefer the film. Read this for a synopsis of the story. I love the instrumental music accompaniment in the movie, and you can click on the following clip to listen to it. It's perfect for spring and summer, and rainy days! (:

An education
Carey Mulligan's wardrobe options in this movie are simply fantastic. Doesn't she remind us of Audrey Hepburn? I think Mulligan has style and she pulls off short gamine hairstyles really well... and of course beautifully coiffed hair too. Anyway, the outfits featured on the other actresses in the movie are just as gorgeous. One thing we can conclude: There will always be room for vintage and retro looks.

Watch the trailer to have a preview of what the film is about.
Catch the full movie here. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Bangkok Traffic love Story
This movie is fantastic! I smiled, laughed and cried from the start to the end of the movie. Don't worry if it is in Thai, it has good English subtitles and by 'good', I mean grammatically and syntactically sound sentences. Presenting to you... Bangkok Traffic love Story, which if you haven't noticed, coincides with the acronym of the train system in Bangkok 'BTS'. This movie won quite a few awards; and with the wonderful soundtrack, it's definitely worth watching ;P Featured here are the first and last clips of the movie. Click here to find the rest.

hey sweet sugar
Sugar Town - Zooey Deschanel
I got some troubles but they won't last
I'm gonna lay right down here in the grass
And pretty soon all my troubles will pass
'cause I'm in shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo
Shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo Sugar Town
I never had a dog that liked me some
Never had a friend or wanted one
So I just lay back and laugh at the sun
'cause I'm in shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo
Shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo Sugar Town
Yesterday it rained in Tennessee
I heard it also rained in Tallahassee
But not a drop fell on little old me
'cause I was in shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo
Shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo Sugar Town
If I had a million dollars or ten
I'd give to ya, world, and then
You'd go away and let me spend
My life in shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo
Shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo Sugar Town
la-la-la-la-la-la...
I'm gonna lay right down here in the grass
And pretty soon all my troubles will pass
'cause I'm in shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo
Shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo Sugar Town

Never had a friend or wanted one
