the snail on the wall

I was on my way to the NIE library this morning when I looked up at a pillar and saw this:

Out of curiosity, I got closer to the pillar:

Ohhh... It was a snail making its way up the pillar. I was amazed at the ability of the snail to crawl/glide/ slide that high. I thought it lost its way or got sick of living in the garden and so it decided to shift into the 'urban areas'. heh. Anyway, this snail brought back memories of primary school days where my brother used to mischievously (and rather violently) stamp the snails found crawling in the garden in church =P
